How the Series 9 Exam is Structured

Fifty-five (55) of the questions count toward whether the candidate passes or fails the Series 9 Exam. The other five questions are experimental, untimed, and can appear in any position within the exam but do not count towards the final grade. In order for a candidate to pass the Series 9 Exam, s/he must correctly answer at least 39 (70.9%) of the 55 questions.
